Abstract
This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of investment decisions of retail investors in the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate selected investment opportunities available to ordinary households and individuals and to compare them in terms of investment horizon, return, risk and liquidity. The thesis aims to help novice investors to better navigate the current range of financial products and to support their informed investment decisions.
The thesis is divided into three main parts. The theoretical part is devoted to the basic principles of investing, defining key concepts and characteristics of the financial market. It also describes the relationship between return, risk and liquidity within the investment triangle and provides a breakdown of investors according to their objectives and attitudes to risk. The practical part focuses on specific investment products, which are divided according to investment horizon into short-term, medium-term and long-term. This section also includes model calculations that illustrate the differences between investment strategies based on specific data and indicators.
