Abstract

Spanish labour market is first of all national market with typical characters and it is internationally connected market due to globalization and membership in European Union as well. The object of this thesis is analysis of Spanish labour market, assessment of problem branches and proposal of suitable arrangements for improvement. The thesis is made with descriptive and comparative method. This thesis is divided into four parts. In first part there is paid attention to theoretic context of labour market, offers and demands and employment policy and its instruments as well. Second part is empirical literature overview dealing with labour market productivity, economic grow and specific characters of Spanish labour market. Third part focuses on data analysis used to identify problems areas, namely low labour market flexibility, high unemployment, especially of young people and difficult transition between the education system and labour market. Fourth part consists of proposals and recommendation summary for improvement in problematic areas, such as cooperation between educational institutions and the labour market or regionally differentiated employment policy.
