Abstract

KUMMER, George. IPTV in optical NGA: Thesis. Ostrava: VSB - Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Department of Telecommunications, 2013, 70s. Supervisor: Ing. Koudelka, Peter. This thesis deals with the study of optical access networks, WDM-PON. The first part is theoretical analyzed and the development trend of optical access networks generations. The second part deals with the measurement of the parameters of the device LG-Ericsson EA 1100, 3rd Release In the third part simulates the IPTV traffic from the virtual server to the subscriber ONT unit for passive optical path. IPTV distribution is made up of VLC, which sends each video using multicastové IP addresses. The last part is dedicated to measuring the quality of broadcast videos in a simulated traffic Triple play, where the network is loaded with different data traffic and subsequent evaluation of the results of objective methods (MSE, SSIM) and the method EtherSAM.
