Současný vývoj těžby vybraných nerostných surovin a jeho srovnání s obdobím Velké hospodářské krize

Abstract

The diploma thesis focuses on two significant economic milestones, namely the Great Economic Depression at the end of the 20’s and the beginning of the 30’s of the 20th century and the present economical (financial) crisis. Both the arisen situations appeared unexpectedly. The causes of both these events are similar. For long months they negatively affected the behaviour of the whole world not only in economy itself but also in national and industrial branch policies and a policy in the social sphere which concerns each of us closely at present. This is just the reason why it is ideal to observe the effects of crisis on the production of mineral resources, because the production is fundamentally reflected on the economy in both the observed periods. By means of graphic interpretations of productions we shall try to describe the development in production of selected mineral resources (in Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia) in the period of the First Republic. These outputs will be further used for the comparison of graphic interpretations of present-day production and also for the estimation of a rough trend in future production depending upon the economic depression in the Czech Republic. The final part will deal with a vision of future development and a forecast of the possible end of the crisis.
