Zhodnocení finanční pozice technologické společnosti v rámci strategické analýzy

Abstract

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the financial position of a technology company within the strategic analysis. It includes an introduction of the selected company, its description and a comparison of its economic results within its sector of operation. Furthermore, the theoretical-methodological and empirical part of the thesis is presented. Specifically, a horizontal and vertical analysis of individual items from the balance sheet, profit and loss statement and cash flow statement of the company for the financial years 2016-2021 is further elaborated. Subsequently, ratio analysis and Dupont's pyramid decompositions of the first degree for the ROE indicator are performed using the logarithmic method for the same periods under study. The results are interpreted with respect to the impact of a long-term coronavirus pandemic on the company. Finally, recommendations for improvement in critical areas of financial analysis are suggested.
