Abstract

On the basis of available expert materials and proposed technical solutions, this thesis deals with validation of prediction findings relating to defects in casting, that were calculated by simulation software. The utilisation of simulation outcomes is an effective tool for the work of a production engineer in determining and modifying a chosen technological process. Utilisation of simulation software has, for these reasons a positive impact on casting production. Subsequent modifications of technical solutions lead to desirable ecological and economic benefits for casting production. The thesis includes descriptions of simulation processes, description of chosen technological process for simulation as well as its ourcomes. Also included are outputs of non destructive inspection tests of subjected castings.
