Abstract

The bachelor thesis focuses on the financing of sports infrastructure from public sources, with an emphasis on grant support for sport in the Czech Republic and the European Union. The theoretical part defines the importance of sport and sports infrastructure, characterizes project and grant management, and analyzes the system of sports financing from national and European sources. The practical part is focused on the preparation of a model project plan for the construction of a sports hall in the Ostrava-Třebovice district within the grant support framework of the National Sports Agency. The thesis includes a proposal of project documentation and an assessment of the project feasibility. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the possibilities of financing sports infrastructure through grant programs and to apply the acquired knowledge to a specific project plan.
