Abstract
This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the influence of children’s physical fitness on the efficiency and safety of school evacuation. The study examines the relationship between the physical abilities of lower secondary school pupils and the course of the evacuation process during emergency situations. The theoretical part defines the fundamental aspects of evacuation, including its legislative framework, organization, and technical requirements for escape routes. At the same time, it elaborates on the issue of physical fitness in school-age children, particularly in terms of speed, endurance, coordination, and their importance for managing crisis situations. The practical part bachelor’s thesis is aimed at testing pupils’ physical fitness through running tests and at simulating a school evacuation, during which evacuation time and the occurrence of safety risks such as falls or collisions are monitored. The aim of the thesis is to verify whether a higher level of physical fitness contributes to faster, smoother, and safer evacuation. The results may contribute to the optimization of school evacuation plans and strengthen the emphasis on children’s physical preparedness as an important preventive safety factor.
