Abstract
This diploma thesis is about production of hydrogen via dry reforming of hydrocarbons. Dry forming is reaction of carbon dioxide and hydrocarbon that leads to production of syngas (combination of hydrogen and carbon monoxide). During this work were done measurements of dry reforming at different temperatures and compositions of inlet gas mixture. From measurements the highest achieved conversion of methane 99 % was at 800 °C. There was also made analysis of products of reaction and analysis of catalyst after usage via measurement of total carbon. Next kinetics measurement was done and from data rate constant, pre-exponential factor and activation energy were calculated. For evaluation of possibility of dry reforming of methane for production of hydrogen simulations were done in software Aspen Plus V11. Lastly study of dry reforming of p-xylene was made.
