Abstract

This thesis addresses the assessment of the sliding area on the Vsetin-Velke Karlovice’s railway line at the km 3900 with an overall design of the necessary stabilizing measures. The study begins with a brief description of the causes and types of slope movements along with various methods of their solution. The next part describes the locality of the slope, including self-research and activities. Additionally, the PLAXIS 2D program, which is based on the finite element method used to create a mathematical model for the current state of the slope. This model is followed by proposed variants of remediation measures and their model analysis. Finally, the achieved results are compared and evaluated.
