Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis, comparison and evaluation of the functioning of the social insurance system in the Czech Republic and selected states of the European Union, Bulgaria, Estonia, Germany and Sweden. The thesis describes the different parts of social insurance system in the Czech Republic and selected countries in terms of benefits provided, insurance rates and system efficiency. Subsequent comparisons of schemes seek to outline the advantages or disadvantages of the social system in individual countries.
