Abstract
Beta titanium alloys alloyed with elements such as Nb and Zr represent advanced materials with high potential in the field of biocompatible materials. Due to their ability to stabilize the beta phase of titanium, these alloys exhibit low elastic modulus, good corrosion resistance and biocompatibility. This work focuses on the analysis of the current research in the field of beta Ti-Nb-Zr titanium alloys and the influence of different production technologies and thermal or mechanical processing on the resulting material properties. The experimental part is devoted to the preparation of this alloy by plasma metallurgy, subsequent technological processing and thermal treatment, phase analysis and evaluation of mechanical properties.
