Abstract
The thesis addresses the development of a vacant lot on Masaryk
Square in Ostrava as a response to the current condition
of the site. The aim of the thesis is to design a mixed-use
building that appropriately complements the existing urban
structure and supports the functional use of the area.
The proposal respects and develops the broader urban context.
The work includes both urban planning and architectural design
of the given site. The outcome is an architectural study
of a mixed-use building incorporating residential units, small
retail spaces, parking, and related functions, including its
integration into the immediate surroundings.
