Abstract

The aim of the thesis was to evaluate the management of two physicians for children and adolescent for the years 2009 – 2013. Satisfaction with the health care was identified by questionnaire survey. The comparative method of time series, analysis of income and expenditure, the synthesis of available internal materials of Subjects and public survey were used to make the solution. The management bodies affected the revenue of health insurance companies, especially the capitation payments, salary of nurses and operating expenses. The results of the economic activities concerning both entities were surplus during the years 2009 – 2013. The survey which was focused on the quality, availability and preferences of the respondents indicated that they were satisfied with the examination of the physical condition, explanation of the purpose of the treatment and tests, privacy, accessibility and possibility of consultation with a doctor via telephone. The respondents were dissatisfied with the time spent in the waiting room and parking conditions. Physicians for children and adolescent chose a doctor according to criteria such as distance or accessibility and recommendations. Preferred time of visit was between 7 a.m. - 10 a.m. Respondents mostly went to the consulting rooms by car and they preferred a woman doctor who is over 40. To improve the management it was advised to send out invitations to preventive examinations and participate in bonus programs of the insurance company. The entity A can reduce his or her costs by cancellation of telephone line, radio broadcasting, and cancellation of a contract with a cleaning company while hiring a sanitary worker. Entity B should hire a worker to conduct regular cleaning and he or she should change the bank. Entities should be helpful, hospitable, and careful to patients with at least 30 - 40 minute intervals between the scheduled patients, so as to avoid long waiting time when ordering or the last two surgery hours in the afternoon might be reserved for scheduled patients. Entity B was additionally recommended to change office hours, improve the organization of the working time, modernize the waiting room and provide more parking spaces for patients.
