Zhodnocení finanční situace vybraného podniku

Abstract

The goal of the bachelor´s thesis is assessment of the financial situation of the company Continental Automotive s.r.o., using methods of financial analysis. Thesis is divided into five chapters. The second chapter describes theoretical definition of methods of the financial analysis. Basic sources of needful processing information are mentioned. The thesis is following up basic methods of the financial analysis and financial ratios. In case of financial ratios it is important to note that Du Pont decomposition is a must. The diagram creation and meaning is described in a separate chapter. The third chapter is a summary of Continental Automotive s.r.o. company information. Subject of business, history, ownership and management is described. Last but not least, one of the most significant competition at automotive industry is mentioned as well. The Fourth chapter applies methods stated previously in the second chapter. In a first place results of horizontal and vertical analysis important for the company overview are introduced. These are also relevant to notify basic year-on-year variances of the single items on the whole. Analysis using financial ratios is carried out, where the selected and significant ones are compared with the results of the competition company mentioned in chapter three. The thesis is ending as an evaluation of the financial position of the company, and measures leading to the stabilization for next years are suggested.
