Technická efektivnost regionálních kapacit psychiatrické péče v České republice

Abstract

The diploma thesis focuses on the evaluation of the technical efficiency of psychiatric care in the regions of the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis was to evaluate the technical efficiency of available capacities in both outpatient and inpatient psychiatric care of psychiatric care providers in the period 2013-2022. To achieve this objective, the quantitative method Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) was applied, enabling the evalutiaon of regional performance based on input (staffing and capacity) and output (production) indicators. The results showed that the average technical efficiency of regions ranged from 90.6 % to 92.3 % during the analysed period. In the period 2021–2022, four regions achieved full technical efficiency, namely the Central Bohemian Region, Pardubice Region, Olomouc Region and the Capital City of Prague. The analysis also indicated a gradual increase in efficiency over time, which may reflect the positive impact of the ongoing psychiatric care reform.
