Abstract

This diploma thesis focus on distributed systems for collecting driving data from a car. In this thesis is conducted a survey and analysis of the current market with commercially sold systems for collecting driving data including a description of the most used sensors in the field of motorsport. The following is an analysis and description of the communication buses used in the automotive field. The last part is devoted to the development of a self developed distributed system solution for collecting driving data using different types of microprocessors and real-time data tracking capabilities on a remote PC.
