Silver Economy v Evropské unii

Abstract

Tématem bakalářské práce je koncept silver economy v Evropské unie. Stárnutí populace představuje jednu z nejzásadnějších demografických výzev a zároveň příležitost v blízké budoucnosti. Práce je rozdělena do tří hlavních částí. První část teoreticky ukotvuje fenomén silver economy. Další část je zaměřena na možnosti demografické analýzy populace. Třetí část obsahuje statistickou analýzu vztahu mezi náklady na zdravotnictví a podílem starší věkové složky v populaci, dále hodnocení iniciativ na podporu silver economy a demografickou analýzu s populačními projekcemi. Cíl práce spočívá v popsání vztahu ekonomických a demografických trendů na území Evropské unie. Sekundárním cílem je navržení doporučení pro tvorbu veřejných politik založených na teoretických poznatcích a datech.

The topic of this bachelor’s thesis is the concept of the silver economy in European Union. Population ageing represents one of the most significant demographic challenges as well as an opportunity in the near future. The thesis is divided into three main parts. The first part theoretically anchors the phenomenon of silver economy. The next part focuses on the possibilities of demographic analysis of the population. The third part includes a statistical analysis of the relationship between health care expenditures and the proportion of the older age group in the population, an evaluation of initiatives supporting the silver economy, and a demographic analysis with population projections. The primary aim of the thesis is to describe the relationship between economic and demographic trends within the territory of the European Union. The secondary objective is to propose recommendations for the public policy making based on theoretical knowledge and data.
