Abstract
This thesis deals with the organization and economics of the Prison Service and the budget of the Ministry of Justice.
The main objective of this work is the extent possible to describe the management of the Prison Service, to show the economic problems in Czech prisons and formulate proposals to address them. Space is also devoted to the description of prisons as a service and employment of prisoners.
