Abstract
The diploma thesis is focused on continuous optical temperature measurement in the tundish. Knowledge of the current temperature of liquid steel is very important and great emphasis is placed on it. Based on the measured temperature of the steel in the tundish, the casting speed is regulated and we prevent problems that are already known to us. The most serious failures include a landslide or solidification of the steel in the crystallizer. The aim of this diploma thesis is to describe various methods of measuring the temperature of steel, its problems and the subsequent implementation of optical measurement of steel temperature using Accuoptix equipment. At the end of the work is a general view of the efficiency of the newly designed device for measuring the temperature in the tundish in the operation of ZPO.
