Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with the market of mineral resources and the position of a particular company in this market. The introductory part offers a theoretical framework and focuses on important terminology and concepts related to the topic followed by the description of mineral raw material market. Further, it brings several analyses (Porter's analysis of five forces, LONGPEST analysis, external environment factors’ analysis, company analysis, SWOT analysis, brief financial analysis, VRIO analysis and an internal environment factors’ assessment matrix) to determine the position of a selected company on a given market. Based on the above concepts, the practical section presents an analysis of a particular company and its internal and external environment. The same analysis is then conducted in a competing business and a comparison is made. The last part is formed by the evaluation and conclusion.
