Abstract
The aim of the diploma thesis is to evaluate the processes of selection and adaptation in the organization XY using selected methods and based on the obtained results to propose recommendations for the improvement of these processes. Three main methods were chosen for this research, thanks to which the set goal was achieved, namely: a semi-standardized interview, a questionnaire, and an analysis of the organization's internal documents. The first part of this work is devoted to the description of these methods and the theoretical basis of the process of filling vacancies, which includes the processes of recruitment, selection, hiring staff and adaptation of employees. First, we mapped the current state of selection and adaptation processes through an interview with the personnel of the XY organization, while we found out the differences in these processes for technical and economic workers in the practical part. The employee's opinion was ascertained by means of a questionnaire survey on these processes. The sample consisted of 28 employees of the organization. Even before the creation of the questionnaire, 3 main research questions were set. The results of the questionnaire survey show that employees evaluate the identified selection and adaptation processes positively or rather positively. However, space for improvement was identified, especially in the adaptation process, so we recommended suggestions for improvement in the last chapter.
