Abstract

Modern industrial enterprise protections are complicated and expensive equipment to secure reliability operation of power systems and electrical equipments. The publication is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. Introduction of the theoretical part is devoted to analysis of electrical protections, define basic parts of electrical protection and electrical equipment. Another section is devoted to basic conception and formulas from the theory of short-circuit currents. Practical part includes a description and evaluation of the technical state of protection in real industrial company, projection of the new electric protections, the calculation of short-circuit conditions at the electrical substations R4, R13, R14, calculations for the settings of new electrical protections for calbes and transformers at R14. Dissertation also includes a control calculation.
