Abstract
This thesis deals with the experimental study of wax fuel in two forms (without temperature influence and after temperature simulation) supplied by MIRONAUT s.r.o. The supplied fuel can be used for practical applications in the space industry. The aim of the thesis was to obtain original fuel data. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on the description of fuels for hybrid rocket engines and on the description of thermal analysis methods. In the experimental part of the work, the thermophysical properties of the wax were determined. The temperatures of decomposition processes were determined using the TG method, the phase transformation temperatures and heat capacity were determined by using the DSC method, and the temperature-dependent length expansion was determined using dilatometry. The obtained data were processed in the CALISTO program. The coefficient of thermal expansion and density as a function of temperature was subsequently evaluated in the program NETZSCH Proteus. Kinetic parameters were determined in the program Kinetics Neo, which were then compared with the calculated values. Experimentally obtained data were compared with literature data of thermophysical properties. The achieved results are summarized in the conclusion of the work.
