Modelování a analýza efektu ionizujícího záření na paměťových fóliích

Abstract

The goal of this thesis is to evaluate the effect of ionizing radiation on the degradation of cassettes with memory foils (CR cassettes for computed radiography of image). The thesis deals with causes of this degradation and also with methods of its analysis. Acquired results can serve as a suggestion for hospitals whether it is better to switch over to flat panels (the direct radiography) because of the described image degradation. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with ionizing radiation, its generation, application and effects, then with degradation caused by it and with methods of the image processing and evaluation. Two series of experimental measurements have been made at the interval of 5 months and have been included in the practical part of this thesis. Then the acquired images have been processed and their histograms together with the important local minimums and maximums have been evaluated. The differences between the images of various cassettes have been assessed along with the differences between the particular images of both series. The results have been evaluated statistically and using the approximation and prediction models.
