Abstract
The aim of this work is to assess the financial position of XY Ltd. using various financial ratios of profitability. Analysis of profitability will be carried out from 2001 to 2009. The work is divided into three chapters. The theoretical part focuses on the characteristics of financial analysis, their definition of informational resources and users, basic methods. The second part is presented and analyzed XY Ltd. and defined its business activities. The third chapter focuses on the practical part, where is done applycation of the theoretical knowledge of the selected company in the profitability and overall assessment of the selected company. In the conclusion was determined recommendations and proposals of the analyzed company.
