Abstract
This thesis is focused on the mining water left over after ore mining in the Czech Republic; the flow is large enough to be considered for future treatment and its subsequent use as drinking or industrial water in the event of water shortages for example due to drought or accident.
Six sites were identified where mining of ore has now been completed with regard to quantity and quality of mine water. Mine water samples were subjected to chemical analysis and the results were processed and compared with the Decree of the Ministry of Health n.187/2005 which in turn amends the ordinance n.252/2004 which sets down the health requirements for drinking water and hot water and the frequency and scope for control of drinking water.
