Abstract
This thesis deals with the selection of a suitable concept of electric formula drive, the selection of an electric motor which will meet requirement, like high power, small size and low weight, selection of a suitable controller, calculation the number of battery cells, simple wiring diagram and calculation of gear ration. Furthermore, the work contains a summary of the rules concerning the electric drive unit, witch must comply with the formula in order of participate in the event.
