Abstract

This master's thesis deals with the valuation of a Czech company specializing in the production of skis and snowboards, as of the valuation date of June 30, 2025. The aim is to determine the objective value of the enterprise based on a comprehensive strategic and financial analysis, followed by the application of asset-based and income-based valuation methods. The conducted analysis confirms that the company possesses a strong technological background, flexible production, and high asset and financial stability. However, the valuation results also point to a disproportion between the extensive asset base of the company and its currently lower ability to generate free cash flows. The significant difference between the value determined by the asset and income approaches clearly indicates the existence of negative goodwill. The conclusion of the thesis therefore provides management with specific proposed measures to streamline operations and fully utilize the brand's market potential.
