Zhodnocení rozvojové pomoci Evropské unie zemím Západní Afriky

Abstract

The thesis deals with the issue of providing development assistance to poor countries and examines the volume of development assistance provided by the EU on a sample of West African countries. Based on the literature the concept of development assistance including its history, forms and motives is defined. Afterwards the thesis describes through legislative documents the development of the European Union's development assistance, its legislative and institutional framework. The main part of the thesis is evaluation of the volume of official development assistance provided by the European Union institutions to the countries of West Africa through multi-criteria analysis.
