Abstract
The thesis evaluates transport accessibility of villages in the Czech Republic by line public transport for the period 2007 – 2011 with regard to possibilities of commuting to work. At first, research of the literature that has already concerned with these issues was done. In the next part, on the basis of the information found out, parameters for the search of transport connections including the day observed were properly set. Automatic data processing using transport timetables in the program TRAM was used to conduct the search. The data looked up were aggregated, analysed and depicted by map outputs. Then both the situation in individual time slices and changes of the situation in two-year intervals were evaluated. The results show that in case of commuting to work, the accessibility of villages from 2007 to 2009 increased. In 2010, there was a decrease in the accessibility (13%) and on the contrary, in 2011 it increased mildly again (7%). In case of commuting to work and back home after a work shift, the accessibility decreased in 2008 (compared to 2007). In 2009 and 2010, there was a significant increase in the accessibility (77%). In 2011, there was a decrease in the accessibility by 5%, compared to 2010. The numbers are an assumption of year-on-year relative change.
