Abstract
The thesis deals with the optimization of block fuel inventory. It focuses on analyzing the supply, consumption and cost of coal fuel. Another part of the thesis deals with the prognosis of brown coal price development, which is essential for the operation of the power plant, including the issue of reserves. The management and optimization of inventory approach is different for a power-generating source, comparing inventory management in a conventional manufacturing enterprise. If we optimize inventory in a facility that generates electricity by burning brown coal, we work primarily with the efficiency of the entire source. At the same time, every effort to increase combustion efficiency has the effect of reducing fuel to electricity. In addition, secondary influences in the form of supply scheduling focusing on shutdowns, including scheduling of deliveries according to weather conditions in the calendar year, enter the entire system.
