Využití strukturálních fondů EU v euroregionu Praděd za období 2007-2013

Abstract

The aim of bachelor thesis is to show specific projects using the Structural Funds of the EU at Euroregion Praděd. The theoretical part of this thesis provides basic information on this issue which defines the fundamental terms: the structural policy of the EU, structural funds, cohesion funds, the objectives and principles of structural policy, euroregion, cross-border cooperation and euroregions in the Czech Republic. The practical part consists of two parts, practical examples of selected projects, and using solutions to issues in journalism, where is described in detail the situation in the village Smržice when obtaining European subsidies. Based on the data found, it is possible to state that within the regional operational programs (ROP Central Moravia) and the operational programs of cross-border cooperation (OPPS Czech Republic-The Republic of Poland) had been realized many projects in the programming period 2007-2013 and of each specific description is obvious that a large proportion of money for implementation has been financed from the Structural Funds of the EU. Specifically, it is the European Regional Development Fund. The result is that these projects could not be implemented without the contributions from European Union. From the journalistic part of the thesis, it is also evident that municipalities need the European money which they use properly.
