Abstract
The aim of the bachelor work is to outline the current status of the purchasing process in the automotive industry. The first part is based on theoretical knowledge relating to the purchase and the associated activities, such as marketing, purchasing, supplier selection, or the information system of purchasing. The second part is applied in practice; particularly in the automotive company TATRA, Inc.
In the final part of this thesis is summarized the whole process of purchasing, and also recommendations that should lead to improvement in the purchasing process.
