Abstract
The aim of the submitted dissertation concerns the study of electrohydraulic grinding and electrohydraulic activated leaching of alkali metals - K, Li, Rb, Cs from zinnwaldite concentrate, obtained by magnetic separation of waste material from tailings pond of Sn - W ores processing plant in Cínovec near Teplice in the Czech Republic. The purpose of this work was to verify the fundamental assumption that when the electrohydraulic adjusting zinnwaldite concentrates, may release significant amounts of alkali metals. Another purpose was to determine the degree of refinement of zinnwaldite concentrate and release rate of alkali metals in various modes of electrohydraulic adjustment. Since it is a yet unstudied problems, another object was also to determine any limitations and disadvantages that come with electrohydraulic activated leaching of alkali metals from mica - zinnwaldite concentrates.
In the introductory part of the thesis is discussed general problems of physical activation processes leaching of alkali metals from mica minerals. This part is distributed nature of the leaching process and theoretical aspects of their physical activation. They explain the fundamental assumptions of the possibility of direct electrohydraulic leaching of elements from the structure of minerals.
The essence of experimental contents of the dissertation is to perform a wide range of experiments electrohydraulic adjustment zinnwaldite concentrate on different pre-defined modes of treatment, followed by the subsequent detect changes in particle size distribution of zinnwaldite concentrate (the leaching cake) during electrohydraulic adjustment and detection of yields K, or other elements (Li, Rb, Fe) in the leachate.
The data obtained are analyzed and depending tabular and grafic designed and serves as a basis for the formulation of partial and overall conclusions of the work.
Dissertation contains other characteristics of the untreated mica concentrate even of cake, especially XRD structural analysis made by powder diffraction and chemical analysis (silicate analysis) of untreated zinnwaldite mica concentrate.
