Abstract

The title of bachelor's thesis is ´Development of the potential of tourism in city Trenčín´. This thesis is composed of two parts: theoretic and practical. The theoretic part is occupied by tourism in general, by definition of tourism, kinds and forms of tourism, system of tourism, destination, etc. The practical part is occupied by characteristic of city Trenčín. Moreover the characteristic is a base for three preconditions – selections, localizations and realizations, which means introduce information about localization of city, climate, natural attractiveness, history, historical sight, cultural organizations and events, accommodation, restaurants. Afterwards follows analysis SWOT. It´ about s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. This analysis is a base for propositions and recommendations for development of the potential of tourism in city Trenčín, which are the aim of bachelor´s thesis.
