Automatizace mikroskopického vyšetření krve s využitím prostředků moderní průmyslové automatizace

Abstract

Microscopic blood analysis plays a significant role in the initial screening for a variety of hematological, as well as non-hematological, diagnoses. Manual microscopic blood smear examination, which is still considered a key diagnostic technique, is not only time-consuming but can lead to non-standardized reports and high interpersonal differences. Although automated and semi-automated systems have been developed in recent years, their high purchasing and maintenance costs make them unaffordable for many medical institutions. The main aim of this thesis is to design a more available solution based on commonly used modern industrial technologies. The outcomes of the thesis present a comprehensive solution, which comprises a HW, as well as a SW design, for automated blood cell analysis. Furthermore, the SW part of the thesis is accompanied by a fully interactive application, which, besides real-time blood cell analysis, encompasses a range of tools for visualizing, archiving, or validating records.
