Abstract

This bachelor thesis studies the physical and chemical methods of treatment of wastewater containing cyanides. The search section discusses the wastewater from the processing of tar containing cyanide. Possible physical and chemical methods of removal of cyanide from aqueous solutions with a closer focus on the removal of cyanide using ferrate. Practical part confirms ferrate degradation in an aqueous medium, shows the effectiveness of the removal of cyanide using ferrate and finds a suitable combination of concentration of the solution of ferrate and cyanide solution.
