Abstract

This thesis is focused on the study of lightweight cast alloy materials made by usual foundry activities. The theoretical part is focused on fundamental character of metal foams, on possible methods of production and on their implementation in different sectors. The subject of the experimental work is production of the casting of metal foam, which will be used as heat exchanger. Metal foams with will be made of remaining precursors with accidentally distributed pores. Production of cores will be made by usual processing in the foundry SaM.
