Detekce ionizujícího záření pomocí PIN diody

Abstract

The aim of this thesis is to design and assebmle a device for detection ionizing radiation. Sensor for detection is sillicon PIN diode, which requires low power supply level in comparison with other sensors detecting ionizating radiation. The core of the system is, besides the hardware and microcontroller program, a software application which provides data processing and visualization in the graphical user interface. The application was created using object-oriented programming language C#. The result of testing the detector provides information about correct function of device with radioisotope with lower energy of decay. For samples with higher energy of gamma decay due to small volume of sensor’s active layer, the results are incorrect.
