Abstract

This diploma thesis is focused on the relationship between the increase of installed capacity of large wind power plants and employment in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of this thesis includes brief history of wind power plants, classification of wind power plants, its impact on the environment, the wind power plants installed in the Czech Republic and also legislation in the field of wind energy. The practical part deals with phases of the life cycle of a wind power plant and also with number of people, which works in each of these phases currently. The main part of this thesis consists of estimates of the possible developments of wind energy and its impact on the numbers of jobs. This diploma thesis also includes possible influences on the development or vice versa the decline of this energy.
