Abstract
The work is focused on the evaluation of the management of five municipalities of the Zlín region in selected municipal services in the years 2014 - 2019. First, the basic concepts that relate to the municipality and municipal services are explained. Furthermore, individual municipalities in the field of municipal waste, public lighting, funeral services and local roads are analyzed. Based on the information obtained, proposals and recommendations for selected municipalities are subsequently formulated.
