Abstract

This bachelor thesis titled “Labour Market and Employment Policy in the Czech Republic in European Employment Strategy Context” is aimed to acquire with employment policy the Czech Republic creates in accordance with European employment strategy. The first part deals with theoretical approaches to the problems at the labour market being solved by employment policy. The second part describes European employment strategy, its development and changes it went through its existence. The third part focuses on employment strategy in the Czech Republic in context with European employment strategy. This part describes a National programme of reforms of the Czech Republic within 2008 – 2010, employment policy in the Czech Republic financed by a state budget as well as use of European Social Fund in the Czech Republic. The fourth part is devoted to the suggestions and recommendations in this field.
