Abstract

The main content of the diploma thesis is to specify the protection against and in the event of a fall on roof structures and to assess the consequences of an imminent fall involving firefighters on roof structures from the results of the practical part. The first part of the diploma thesis is focused on the description and characteristics of work at heights and above free depth, the issue of falls and methods of protection of intervening firefighters by climbing equipment and combined rope techniques. The second practical part is devoted to the creation of a rope railing, used in the intervention on roof structures and its use in catching a firefighter using a low-stretch and dynamic rope. The results of fall tests will lead to the analysis and increase of safety when moving on roof structures in the operation of fire protection units.
