Abstract
Bachelor paper deals with new generation engines with their contribution to increase of air quality. History of engines is mentioned in the paper as well as description of different kinds of fuels and propulsions. Comparison of selected can makes with vehicles of Škoda AUTO company. Legislation of European Union and Czech republic is also described.
