Abstract
Statistical methods of process control are important part of present quality management. These statistical methods provide a range of useful tools that are utilized to localize and prevent failures, to support decision making and management.
In this work, the statistical methods of process control will be presented in a framework of six sigma methodology. The six sigma methodology is a modern approach of quality management emphasizing the fact that, besides other aspects, decisions are made based on verified and statistically processed data.
The six sigma methodology will be used for establishing the statistical process control of semi-transparent mirror metallization. The semi-transparent mirror is the main component of automotive rear lamp module, which creates a special three dimensional effect when being switched on. This spatial effect is based on the infinity mirror principle.
