Abstract

This diploma thesis considers the possibility of radio controlled aeromodel use for geodata capture. Amongst commonly available RC models helicopter has been found the best. Digital camera, suitable for photogrammetry usage, was used as a device for geodata capture. In addition RC model has been equipped with wireless minicamera transmitting video frames in real-time. It was recommended to fit the model with inertial navigation system to make the control more comfortable. Experimental snapshot flights lead in preparation and geodata capture procedure. The procedure has been used for aerial snapshotting of selected object. Gained pictures were enriched with terrestrial ones and processed photogrammetrically to create 3D digital model of object with real textures. In the end of the thesis the procedure has been summarized with all the advantages and disadvantages.
