The bachelor's thesis focuses on the impact of hosting the Ice Hockey World Championship 2024 on the city of Ostrava, with a specific emphasis on aspects of tourism and the valorization of local industrial heritage. The thesis presents a comprehensive view on how large sports events can contribute to the economic and social development of the host city, increase its attractiveness for visitors, and support local culture and identity.
