Abstract

Brown coal is and going to be a significant power raw material for the Czech Republic in the near future. The thesis summarizes the methods of brown coal mining technology at the individual mining sites in the Czech Republic and analysis of the utilised types of mining technologies has been prepared. The thesis is primarily focused on the possibility to introduce discontinuous technology with automobile transport of the exploited materials which significantly impacts the efficiency of the whole mining system. The thesis explores the impact of transport roads quality and construction on the discontinuous technology performance and efficiency. At the end of the thesis attention is paid to the economic comparison of discontinuous and continuous mining technologies and the assessment process of the discontinuous technology impact on environment in relation to the process of mining activity authorization.
