Abstract
The aim of the thesis "Impacts of the financial crisis on the investment banks" is to compare the impacts of the financial crisis on investment banking and commercial banking. The first part deals with the definition of investment banking, models of the institutional organization and products of the investment banking. The second part describes the indicators of profitability and financial results of the banks. The third part analyzes the causes of the financial crisis and the impacts of the financial crisis on investment banking and commercial banking according to selected criteria.
